INFLUENCES ON THE MODERN TANGO OF TODAY
An in-depth look at the many influences
that have shaped the tango of today. From flamenco to
ballet, hustle to jazz, this fascinating lecture explores
the evolution of tango from the 1970s to today. Images
of various dance styles will be shown and their connection
to tango will be traced and explained.

A look into the many varied styles
of milonga dance. With rare images of master dancers
like Pepito Avellaneda, Lampazo and Pocha, and Nestor
Ray, we will look at those milongueros who were particularly
skilled and known for their milonga.
Learning from the past Workshop:
5:30 to 7:00 PM
MILONGA OF THE MASTERS
The best figures of Pepito Avellaneda
and Lampazo will be projected on a screen, studied and
analyzed and reconstructed. This is a rare and unique
opportunity to learn this fascinating and exciting material.
